We are here: CCPP
The 217 MW Jegurupadu CCPP Phase 1, commissioned in 1997, has become a benchmark amongst private power plants in the country. Being India's first Independent Power Plant, it displays farsighted design features that enhance operational efficiencies and minimize environmental impact. It has been described as a 'horticulture project that also generates electricity' and a 'metaphor of industrial ecology.'
The 228 MW CCPP Phase 2, an expansion of Phase 1 commenced operations in 2009 and has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with APDISCOMs & TSDISCOMs. With CCPP Phase 1 and Phase 2, the Jegurupadu plant has a combined capacity of 445 MW.
