GVK has, in the spirit of a pioneer, addressed opportunities in the infrastructure sector in India, leveraging its accumulated expertise and consolidated competencies in civil engineering, project management, technology integration and trans–national partnerships for optimization.
The Jaipur–Kishangarh BOT project, a segment of the Golden Quadrilateral National Highways Development Project of the Government of India, is yet another instance where GVK has won a concession in a highly competitive context.
The Project, with a value of Rs. 7,060 Million (157 Million USD) including a grant of the Rs. 2,110 Million (47 Million USD) from the National Highways Authority of India, involved conversion of existing two lanes to six lanes from the KM 273/500 to KM 364/886 stretch of the Jaipur–Kishangarh section of National Highway 8 in Rajasthan State, India. As part of the agreement, GVK has a concession period of 20 years, including construction period, for operating and charging tolls. GVK will operate the Highway and have the technology for tolling. |
