The 217 MW Jegurupadu CCPP Phase 1, commissioned in 1997, has become a benchmark amongst private power plants in the country. As part of a buy-back arrangement, the AP Govt. has taken over the operations of the plant.
The 228 MW CCPP Phase 2 commenced operations in 2009 and has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with APDISCOMs & TSDISCOMs.

To anchor growth in the energy sector, GVK has set up another 469 MW dual fuel power project in Peddapuram, Andhra Pradesh. It has a PPA with the APDISCOM for fifteen years and a Ground Support Agreement with GAIL for the life term of the PPA. A green belt has been developed in 99 acres and over one lakh trees have been planted in the vicinity of the plant as part of the environmental sustainability initiatives.
